This has been done on my '02 K1200LTC I don't have a air intake muffler I replaced it with a external air filter so I had to make a mount for the Ballast, since there was nothing there to mount it to. BTW this was for the right side of the bike These pics show what I made

I used 22g sheet metal, there is also a template and pics of where I removed plastic from the little side wings for the cable to clear

First one is the template I made to make the sheet metal bracket

here are some epics of the side wing before and after I removed some plastic for the cable to clear

This one shows why I trimmed the wing for clearance for the wire to the light

Here are the brackets completed

This is the light mounted

Hope this helps someone sometime, you could reverse this template for the left side of the bike but make sure you have clearance for the cruise control cable over there

you cannot just reverse that template, the fold needs to be bent out the other way, also at the top mounting hole (where it mounts to the bike) that needs to be further away for clearance, when i get some time I can do another template, but it's not hard to figure out.

Thanks for taking a look Tom
